disasters and are making great progress to protect
our community while still respecting Mother Earth.

vulnerabilities in the community’s seafood supply
chain, ensuring resilience, food security, and
emergency preparedness.

In the case of an extended power outage, the Wahmeesh Gymnasium is equipped with solar panels that store electricity. Community members are welcome to use the kitchen amenities, bathrooms, showers, and open areas for warmth or cooling.
FireSmart
Our FireSmart program is designed to reduce interface fire risk to our communities by providing education, equipment, training, and mock drills/tabletops for our community members.

Emergency management is guided by four pillars: Mitigation, Preparation, Response & Recovery. Our team works to ensure we are prepared for any emergency that may arise and have the resources and people in place to respond and recover as quickly as possible.
