    DAYCARE

Our daycare program is designed to serve families with children from 3 months to 6 years old. To be eligible for admission, parents must be working, in school, or referred by USMA Child and Family Services for support.

Our team comprises licensed ECE professionals and staff working towards their ECE designation. At present, three dedicated staff members are working at the daycare. We follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Children and Families and the direction of the Council of Chiefs to ensure the safety and well-being of our children.

Our daycare is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. We prioritize effective communication and believe in building strong relationships with parents and guardians to create a supportive and inclusive environment for our children.

The daycare is closed on standard holidays but remains operational during spring break and summer.

For child development support services, including AIDP - Aboriginal Infant Development Program, AOT - Aboriginal Occupational Therapy and ASOP - Aboriginal Speech and Language Program, parents can request services through Laichwiltach Family Life Society, and these services can be delivered in the home, at the preschool or though The Childrens Health Hub (Vancouver Island West)
