One of our key responsibilities is collecting accurate meeting minutes and ensuring that all important discussions and decisions are documented for reference and accountability. We also manage travel arrangements and room bookings for our chiefs when they attend meetings on and off the reserve. By handling these logistical aspects, we aim to facilitate their participation and representation in important gatherings.
In addition to our administrative duties, the Council of Chiefs regularly meet with council members, the band administrator, the Referrals Department, and other relevant stakeholders. These meetings are platforms for effective communication, collaboration, and decision-making processes. Through these interactions, the Council passes resolutions on behalf of the community, ensuring that decisions are made in their best interest and reflect their collective voice.
We hold monthly meetings for our members to promote inclusivity and community engagement. These meetings include open discussions, information sharing, and addressing community concerns. We value the diverse perspectives and constructive dialogue during these gatherings, as they contribute to building stronger bonds within our community.
